Online zoom catch ups – they’re like virtual coffee groups:
Our last online catch up was on 28 November. A big thank you to patient Mike Woods for hosting. We don’t have a date for our next online group yet but we will let you know when we do.
There are also patient/care partner run groups around the country:
Christchurch group Run by two myeloma patients, the Christchurch “MMers social group” is next meeting for a coffee catch up on Saturday 22 November. If you would like to attend this or future catch ups, please contact David on davidbissland@me.com

AL Amyloidosis Support Group AL Amyloidosis Support Group NZ is a supportive and educational resource for AL amyloidosis patients in Aotearoa. AL amyloidosis shares things in common with myeloma because it is rooted in a plasma cell.
- There is also an approximate 15% overlap in patients who have both diseases.
- Myeloma and AL amyloidosis have the same treatment protocols.
AL Amyloidosis Support Group NZ meet online every 6-8 weeks and sometimes have guest speakers.
